EARLY EDUCATION & CHILD CARE POLICIES

1. PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Pathways 2 Purpose provides early education and child care services designed to support the
physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of children ages 2–5 years in a safe,
nurturing environment.
2. HOURS OF OPERATION
● Monday – Friday
● Standard Hours: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
● Part-time, full-time, and drop-in care available
3. ENROLLMENT & ELIGIBILITY
● Children must meet age requirements
● Completed Parent Intake Form, health records, and signed waivers are required prior to
enrollment
● Space is limited and enrollment is first-come, first-served
● Scholarships and sliding-scale options may be available
4. STAFFING & SUPERVISION
● All staff undergo background checks and training
● Staff-to-child ratios meet or exceed state guidelines
● Children are supervised at all times
● Volunteers and visitors are never left alone with children
5. HEALTH & SAFETY POLICIES
Illness
Children should not attend if they have:
● Fever over 100.4°F
● Vomiting or diarrhea within 24 hours
● Contagious conditions (pink eye, flu, etc.)
Parents will be notified immediately if a child becomes ill during care.
Medication
● Medication must be provided in original containers
● Written authorization is required
● Staff will not administer medication without consent
Emergency Procedures
● Emergency contact information is kept on file
● Evacuation, lockdown, and medical emergency procedures are in place
● Parents will be notified immediately in emergencies
6. DROP-OFF & PICK-UP POLICY
● Authorized adults only
● Valid photo ID required
● Children must be signed in and out daily
● Late pick-ups may incur additional fees
7. DISCIPLINE & GUIDANCE
We use positive behavior guidance, including:
● Redirection
● Calm communication
● Age-appropriate consequences
No corporal punishment is ever permitted.
8. FOOD & NUTRITION
● Parents may provide meals unless otherwise stated
● Snacks provided when applicable
● Food allergies must be disclosed in writing
● Nut-free options available upon request
9. TUITION & FEES
● Tuition is billed weekly
● Fees are non-refundable
● Late payments may result in suspension of services
10. TERMINATION OF SERVICES
Pathways 2 Purpose reserves the right to terminate enrollment due to:
● Non-payment
● Repeated policy violations
● Unsafe behavior
11. LIABILITY & ASSUMPTION OF RISK
Parents acknowledge the inherent risks associated with child care and release Pathways 2
Purpose from liability to the extent permitted by law.
